Ashlyn Wheeler

Family Ministries Assistant

I grew up in a Christian home in Flower Mound, Texas with two older sisters and parents who love us well. At the age of 7, by the Lord’s grace, I understood my need for Christ to save me from all of my wickedness and sin. Throughout middle school and high school I followed Christ and was actively involved in the church in every capacity possible, but I didn’t know how to cultivate an abiding relationship with God so I chased fulfillment in many different directions. Entering into my senior year of high school, the Lord began to strip away my false sense of comfortability and distance from Him through a massive season of change and grief, and by His grace drew me into a deep, sanctifying, and abiding relationship with Him that continues on today. Now I walk in the freedom of Christ being both the Savior and Lord of my life.

While the Lord has given me a passion for family ministry throughout my life, it was at Texas A&M where I grew in my passion for administrative work that blesses the church body and the families within it. The Lord graciously brought me to Watermark Fort Worth a few months after graduating and I now have the sweet opportunity to combine my passion for families and all things administrative by serving as the Family Ministry Assistant. If I could, I would spend the majority of my time buying/tending to plants, sitting at a coffee shop, or reading a good book!
