Luke 17:20-37

Be ready at any moment because Jesus has come and is coming again.

Main Points

• The Kingdom has already come to them in Jesus
• Don’t miss the King now in front of you.
• Looking for signs, they failed to see the King
• Hope can only truly be found in Jesus
• Jesus came to rescue us from the greater oppressor than politics/Rome, He came to rescue us from sin and death!
• The King would suffer, but the King will return in power
• It will be clear when Jesus returns. We won’t have to wonder
• Jesus will return and make all things right.
• Don’t be fooled in to looking for signs and guessing about the timing of His return, but always be prepared. 
• Pray and live as citizens of Heaven

Personal Application:

• Jesus wants us to avoid placing our hope in worldly things.
• Rescue/hope are only found in Jesus, and that hope can’t be shaken!
• Stand at the ready for the returning King.
